Somatics Meets the Streets
PHUNKRX™ applies somatic concepts—interoception, proprioception, titration, regulation, and integration through the language of street dance.
Street dance offers what many healing spaces don’t:
• grounded footwork
• rhythmic precision
• repetition without rigidity
• improvisation within form
• communal energy without hierarchy
We layer in elements of rave culture—shared rhythm, bass, and collective movement—because moving together organizes the nervous system in ways that words can’t.
Why Choreography Is Essential
In PHUNKRX™, choreography is not about getting it “right.”
It is a regulatory tool.

A 7-Pillar Somatic Street Dance System
PHUNKRX™ is a 7-pillar somatic street dance method where choreography, rhythm, and ritual help the nervous system feel safe enough to move, feel, and express without overwhelm.
PHUNKRX™ is built on seven integrated pillars that work together to restore nervous system trust, embodied agency, and expressive freedom through structured movement, rhythm, and ritual.
Each pillar is present in every PHUNKRX™ class—sometimes subtly, sometimes explicitly but always intentionally.
This is not random movement.
This is designed patterning.
1. BODY MEMORY
The body remembers what the mind cannot resolve.
PHUNKRX™ works directly with somatic memory; the patterns held in muscles, fascia, breath, and posture—through rhythmic, repetitive movement.
This pillar focuses on:
• re-patterning through sequence
• rhythm as regulation
• sensation without overwhelm
How it shows up in class:
• grounded footwork
• looped movement phrases
• repetition for safety
• breath paired with motion
• shaking and vibration when appropriate
The goal is not catharsis.
The goal is coherence.
2. STRUCTURE AS SAFETY (CHOREOGRAPHY + SEQUENCE)

PHUNKRX™ intentionally includes follow-along choreography and taught sequences as a core regulatory tool.

• choice around intensity

Pleasure is not required.
